Arizona Pipe Trades Trust Funds

Health & Welfare

The Arizona Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Trust Fund offers two plans: an Active Plan for active employees and non-Medicare-eligible retirees and their dependents, and a Retiree Plan for Medicare-eligible retirees and their dependents. Both plans are designed to protect you and your family against the high cost of medical expenses. As a participant in the Health & Welfare Trust Fund, you and your dependents can receive health and welfare benefits. These benefits provide coverage for most medical, prescription drugs, dental and vision expenses. The Fund also pays beneficiary life insurance and weekly disability payments for non-work related injuries or illnesses for eligible participants, and provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers confidential support to help you and your family cope with any number of personal issues. The Fund is entirely funded by employer contributions negotiated through your Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This site contains important information about the Health & Welfare Fund, how it works, forms and resources you will need and a checklist of the life events that can impact your benefits. You can access additional information by clicking on any of the tabs on the right.

A complete description of your Health & Welfare benefits is provided in the Arizona Pipe Trades Health & Welfare Trust Fund Booklet (called the Health and Welfare Booklet), which contains both your Summary Plan Description and the Plan Rules and Regulations. The Health and Welfare Booklet provides an overview of covered services, procedures for submitting claims, and your responsibilities to provide necessary information to the Plan.
